MLS is Only A Part of The Plan

Using the MLS system is an important tool to help Realtors sell real estate, but it's only a part of an overall marketing system.

Simply putting a home on the MLS will not make it sell. There are many homes on the MLS that never sell. If the listing agent does not use the MLS wisely, other agents will not take notice of the home and it's features.

Good agents will use additional methods to showcase their listings to their fellow agents, getting that necessary attention so agents will want to show a particular listing to their buyers.

There are a handful of discount brokers advertising a flat fee to put a home on the MLS. Homeowners should be aware that being on the MLS alone may not sell a property.
